The only real problem I have with the Deseret Alphabet is with the "AH" sound. Apparently the authors of it, being from the East Coast and from England had at least 3 different sounds for "AH". They are the first three in the pronunciation chart below. Basically there were different sounds for "Cot" "Cought" and "Cart" that you can only really here if you talk to someone from Boston or England...
